Lauren Kobley is a digital journalist who graduated from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with an undergraduate degree in journalism and a master's in mass communication. Lauren’s goal is to tell stories about people in the local and global community and be an outlet to share others’ voices, stories and passions.

Lauren is proficient in Adobe Suit, Google Suit, Microsoft Office, Presto Next, Cue Print, WordPress, Canva and other digital media platforms. She has a solid knowledge of SEO tactics and a command of AP style.

During her time at the Cronkite School, Lauren was involved with the State Press (the university's student-run newspaper), Cronkite News and other internships at various media organizations around the Valley. Lauren graduated in the top 10% of her undergraduate class and was inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, an honors society for journalism. She was also an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and held different leadership positions including vice president of member development. 

In her free time, Lauren enjoys figure skating. She has been Ice Dancing since she was six years old. For three years, she competed nationally for her home rink, the Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona. Lauren coaches all ages of skaters at Mullet Arena in Tempe. She was also on the Figure Skating Team at ASU and held the position of vice president of social for two years.
